Wanda Dabkoska is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, and owner of Kokoro Clinic. Kokoro means heart in Japanese, and the heart is at the core of Wandas practice. She is passionate about Chinese Medicine and loves educating her patients and her community about the many beautiful and profound aspects of this ancient and still relevant medicine.... Wandas journey to Chinese Medicine is personal: As a young woman, she suffered from a skin condition that was ruining her life. Western medicine offered no cure. Seeking immediate relief, she visited an acupuncturist, and after one treatment saw dramatic improvement. Grateful and inspired, she made the decision to become a trained practitioner. She is now on a mission to bring Chinese Medicine to our Western healthcare system, which she believes is desperately in need of a practical and affordable preventative health model. Wanda has a Masters of Science degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, one of the top Traditional Chinese Medicine colleges in the country, where she earned 3000 hours of didactic and clinical training covering both Eastern and Western medicine. She has practiced acupuncture at the Haight-Ashbury Free Clinic, the UCSF Sutter Health Stroke Unit, and now at Kokoro Clinic in beautiful downtown Oakland, California. She focuses on a variety of ailments ranging from pain management to better emotional health.
