Established in 2011, Know History has quickly gained a reputation for professionalism, innovation, and exceptional customer service. We provide historical services - which means that we help individuals and organizations that want to research, present or document the past. We have worked with museums, government bodies, Aboriginal organizations, no... n-profits, and corporations on a variety of projects both large and small. Since the company's founding we have completed more than 100 projects for clients across Canada. We believe that what sets Know History apart is our passion for the past. For us, history isn't just a job - it's what we've always wanted to do. Not only are all of our associates formally trained in history and historical research methodologies, we are also actively engaged in history and heritage pursuits outside the office. We sit on local and national boards relating to preservation, archives and heritage. We participate in conferences for museums, historical associations and genealogists. We host and attend workshops, and can often be found at museum openings, heritage days and documentary film screenings. This passion carries over into our service. We pride ourselves on our ability to offer exceptional customer service while simultaneously delivering the highest quality products. Although we apply industry best practices to every project, we also recognize that each project is unique and requires a customized, adaptable approach. We help our clients navigate the often complicated issues surrounding copyright, access restrictions, and waivers. Located in Canada's capital, we have access to important national collections housed in the Canadian Museum of History and Library and Archives Canada, and in many other federal libraries and archives. We maintain a vast network of associates throughout the country, giving us the ability to conduct research in archives in every province and territory.
