About Kleeman Associates
The firm was founded in 1970 by Leonard Kleeman as one of the nation's first entities specializing in inspection of real property for prospective purchasers. Mr. Kleeman, who was also a builder, educator, and real estate author, specialized in assessment of small commercial and residential properties. Throughout the 1970s, Mr. Kleeman was one of a handful of specialists in the nation providing such services - the precursor of the field which, by the mid 1980s, became known as the "home inspection" field. Beginning in the early 1980s, Kleeman Associates began to offer similar services in the commercial and industrial marketplace, and began to assemble the team of inspectors, engineers, and architects which currently comprise its staff.
