Canada-based Fairfax Financial Holding Ltd. has received regulatory approval for acquiring a 46.3% stake in Kuwait-based Gulf Insurance Group KSCP, from Kuwait Projects Co. (Holding) K.S.C. for 256.5 million Kuwaiti dinar ($832 million), Atlas Magazine reported. The transaction has increased Fairfax’s stake in Gulf Insurance to 90%.
