About KimmiCo
I started KimmiCo almost 20 years ago when my grandmother gave me my first sewing machine. I started making artist bears, but quickly branched into a million different mediums. Some things stick, some do not. Admittedly, I have some kind of craft A.D.D. because I can't seem to focus on any one medium. I make handbags, fashion accessories, jewelry, and papercrafts including handmade cards, rubber stamping, and scrapbooking, but I also create pastels, Zentangle, digital and mixed media collage, and watercolors. I like clean lines, bold, bright colors, and simple design. I'm a scientist by trade with a BS in Biology, 20+ years in Biotech, and a high tech MBA, but being creative is my passion. I come from a long line of talented people including a seamstress and lover of fabrics, a famous Chicago artist ( Geraldine McCullough ), a welder, a published writer and playwright, and a puzzle whiz.
