Kids Come First

Kids Come First is a community interest company founded by Nicola Withycombe & Stephanie Fattorini. The Kids Come First project comes from the heart and experience of 2 ?co-founders who have extensive experience supporting families through separation and divorce over an 8 year period at a local Mediation Centre. We are not offering Mediation or The... rapy but healthy and mindful support. Having witnessed how children can be profoundly affected by their parents separation, we provide one of the few support systems and educational programs that can help parents avoid further pitfalls and prevent them from ending up in extreme conflict by arming them with a good tool kit to minimise further emotional effects. We offer specialist and expert knowledge as a result of having counselled many children in the past. We have also had first hand experience, enabling us to create a very comprehensive and detailed course. The Kids Come First workshop maps and explains how children think, feel and can react during the divorce/separation process. By creating an understanding of each milestone? and age group, we aim to galvanise the qualities and strengths of parents that are so often eroded in a time of separation. Parenting alone can be challenging but even more so for separated parents. We enable parents to discuss the key issues at hand and look at each of their children individually. We offer experienced suggestions to minimise the stress. Giving parents foresight and pre-emptive information so that they can be for armed and equipped until their children reach adulthood. Parents who book our workshops are wanting change for their children. They want to keep celebrating their children in the best way they can - beyond separation.
