Thank you for your interest in Kickapoo Valley Dairy Goats. Our farm resides in the heart of the corn belt in Central Illinois, the same place where the family farm started over 30 years ago. We began raising goats in 1981 when a doe was purchased for a great 4-H project. That doe, CH El Wick Moon's Laura, became our first permanent champion and he... lped to encourage our interest in breeding dairy goats. Today the goat business is a partnership between the family with three generations of Jodlowski's managing the farm. Our herd has consistently flourished in the last 30 years producing permanent champion does, high placing animals at National Shows, Spotlight/ Colorama Sale consignments, Top Ten does and many does and bucks that have done well for others. In 2006 we eclipsed yet another breeding goal - breeding a National Champion, and in 2011 that dream was revisited. We have also bred ten National Junior Champions- Accent (Alpine, 1989), Jealousy (Alpine, 1996), Token (Lamancha, 2004), Whimsay (Alpine, 2006), Amish (Alpine, 2010), Arcadia (Lamancha, 2010 & 2011), Akiaberry (Sable 2013), Haliberry (Sable 2016), Jakiaberry (Sable 2016), and Koalah (Sable 2018). In 2008 we had our first Reserve National Champions - Music, senior Alpine as well as three Reserve Junior National Champions- Princess Anne (Saanen 1989) Yellobird, (Lamancha) Yoda (Recorded Grade), and Jelliberry (Sable 2018). Music's win was very special for us because she had won her class 3 times at a National Show. In 2012, my son Cameron won the Sable Raffle Kid at the ADGA National Show and brought her back in 2013 and she (Akaiberry) was named Sable Junior National Champion in Minnesota, then in 2014 went onto be the Sable National Champion as well as Reserve National Champion in 2016. We purchase a second sable, Huldah, who went on to win Sable National Senior Champion, Best Udder, and Total Performer in 2017 and 2018.
