KFSM (originally KFSA) signed on the air in 1953 as the first station to serve Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma with all the networks and local news. KFSM is located in a beautiful Carnegie Library building on 13th Street in Fort Smith. The company is the first television station to open offices and a studio in Fayetteville.
