Keswick, as one of the 35 State Boarding Schools, offers a boarding facility open to those with British and EEC passports. It is the most Northerly in England and must surely be in the most beautiful setting in the centre of the Lake District National Park. The boarders from all over the world are welcomed by the local pupils in a partnership that... stretches back over 100 years. As a state school tuition is free and only the boarding fee of £2,065 pounds per term is levied. The school day population of over 1000 comes from a large part of Northern Cumbria. The school has been oversubscribed in each year group and advice is available for those seeking admission. Parents often ask what the Headmaster stands for.
