The most successful projects have the most involvement with the Owner. The design should represent the Owners vision, be constructible as drawn, and meet the Owners functional needs. The central team member of every project in our office is our client. Although weve guided a number of sustainable projects to LEED certification, not every project ha... s that goal. However, every project in our office includes a sustainability review and initial discussion with the Owner about their sustainability goals and the impact those might have on their budget. We pride ourselves in our ability to detail a project so that what we draw cannot only be built, but is also weather-tight and durable. Weve made our reputation designing projects that are intelligently detailed and clearly drawn. We've even been hired as consultants to help other architects with their detailing. We've mastered new modeling technologies and integrated them into our design process. This helps maintain Owner involvement on our project since the model used to create the construction drawings is the same model used to create the 3D visualizations. Kernick Architecture's professionalism and experience has provided us with a great new space. Even long after the project was completed the Kernick team has continued to advise me on even the smallest of issues. It's nice to see someone take standard good quality building materials and simply proportion them into a great looking building. Very nice job! The Student Union project was completed on time and came in under budget. That wouldn't have happened were it not for the persistent attention to detail by our architect.
