KEKF - Khuwab e Kishwar Foundation

Founded by Sanya Nauman Ahmed Sultan at the age of 17, the Khuwab-e Kishwar Foundation - KEKF is a non- profit initiative run entirely by teenagers, that was started to serve the underprivileged in Pakistan on a larger scale and to provide for those in need. The foundation operates under six different departments: education, healthcare, disaster re... lief, provision, accommodation, and employment generation. In the field of education, KEKF funds and helps charity schools, and reaches out to deprived families to enroll their children into private schools, funding all the expenses involved. The healthcare department deals with paying hospital bills, providing medicines, and conducting free medical camps. The accommodation and provision departments assist people by assisting them with their house rent, paying their electrical, utility, and water bills, and providing them with household groceries, basic furniture, clothes, and shoes. The department of employment offers tools that allow the needy to be financially independent. The earning tools include rickshaw, motorcycle, vending carts, stalls etc. Households affected, individuals injured, and families displaced due to flood, bomb blasts, plane crashes etc are provided emergency relief by the disaster relief department. KEKF is working on devising a long-term plan to solve the extreme poverty crisis prevalent in Pakistan . The plan would provide poverty-stricken communities with tools to enable them to find employment, thus creating a drive to work towards improving their quality of life. Although already operating on a nationwide scale, KEKF plans on expanding even further, someday opening a fully functional hospital that provides free healthcare, schools, skills development centres, multiple orphanages, and ‘khana ghars’ that provide free meals thrice a day to the homeless, in the slum areas all over Pakistan.Read More
