The hospital has a mission to provide customer focused, total health care in conjunction with other agencies, to ensure positive health outcomes. Our vision is to provide quality care that is based on innovation, excellence and customer focus. The hospital was founded and opened by the community in October 1954, through receiving donated land, proc... eeds of crops and endless hours of volunteer work. The Keith and District Hospital Inc operates under the Associations Incorporations Act of 1985 and is governed by a Board of Management whom volunteer their time to serve the community. In keeping with our reputation as a centre for delivering high standards of quality patient care we provide medical and aged care to a catchment area of approximately 3000 people. These services are supported by a visiting Cardiologst, Dermatologist, Psychiatrist and Podiatrist. Keith and surrounding districts are very fortunate to have a dedicated medical practitioner who enable the Keith and District Hospital to provide medical care 5 days per week. The Aged Care Service is a Commonwealth funded Residential Care Facility. This consists of 18 high care places. We supply 24 hour nursing service and focus on a rural friendly environment, with a variety of lifestyle programs (social/lifestyle activities). Keith and District Hospital Inc nurses and staff have long had a reputation for being highly skilled and dedicated. It's one of the hospitals points of distinction - the Chief Executive Officer/Director of Nursing and the Board of Management acknowledge that it is our staff that determines our reputation as a quality hospital. Keith and District Hospital Inc is fully accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) and Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency (ACSAA).
