About Keewu Production
Keewu Production was created as part of a project led by the non-profit organization RAES in 2010: the production of a TV series accompanied by a cross- and transmedia campaign across all of western and central Africa. Once up and running, Keewu Production brought together a team of scriptwriters, and organized the development and production of C'est la vie! Keewu brought on as head writer Marguerite Abouet, the writing talent behind the Aya de Yopougon comics. The success of the pilot created in 2013 was enough to convince the Canal+ group-through Canal Overseas, and for the A+ channel-to pre-purchase the series. TV5 Monde Afrique was also won over. Production of the series began in summer 2014. Keewu joined Lagardère Studios in October 2015. Today it produces the following series: C'est la vie, Season 2, coproduced with the NGO RAES.
