Kean Dance Marathon

We are this generation fighting for the next! Kean Dance marathon is a 12-hour event hosted by the Kean University Greek Senate, celebrating the yearlong fundraising efforts of students benefiting the Childrens Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, NJ. Since the first Kean Dance Marathon in 2014, KDM has raised over $123,000 for the Childrens Speci... alized Hospital! The Childrens Specialized Hospital is the nations leading provider of inpatient and outpatient care for children from birth to 21 years of age facing special health challenges from chronic illnesses and complex physical disabilities like brain and spinal cord injuries, to developmental and behavioral issues like autism and mental health. The hospital specialists partner with families to make the various therapies and medical treatments more personalized and effective, so children can achieve more of their goals. The hospital is located close to our community in Union. Every penny of what is donated goes straight to the hospital. Leading up to the event, students involved will register a team and fundraise throughout the year. Teams are encouraged to fundraise through bake sales, donations letters, clothing sales, canning and other creative ways in order to raise the money possible for this amazing cause.
