Katie Hurley is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and has additional certifications in EMDR and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Katie has been practicing in the St. Louis Area since 2007. In that time, she has served in a variety of settings including community mental health, resi... dential services, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization treatment. As a clinician, she is trained to treat PTSD/complex trauma, depression, low self-worth, anxiety, shame, and family conflict. Katie is trained to work with many populations, including children (8 years and older), adolescents, and adults. In addition to being certified in TF-CBT and EMDR therapy, she utilizes many other treatment modalities including: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, (PET), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Flash Technique, and Solution Focused Therapy. Katie uses a direct and honest approach to help navigate the path to healing. It is encouraged that family members/support networks become involved and are active participant in therapy.
