BlackBird is the creation of local artist Karen Rohn. With an eye for design, a tooth for funky, and a spirit we can only call creative as heck, Karen's doors are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm. Part art gallery, part local artist haven, part gift shop with a vintage vibe. Visitors are welcome to come tour the building and museum... as well as shop at BlackBird. Owned and operated by the Washington, Idaho and Montana History Preservation Group, the Depot has a box car stage, portable dance floor and a rentable Freight Room event venue. It's a great place to hold an event and with rent at $65 per event, a darn good deal. Call and leave a message at 208-875-1357. The timber industry still helps keep supper on the table in many homes. There are no stop lights and every year moose hang out in town, looking for the peace we all take for granted here. It's a place BlackBird calls home. BlackBird found it's home in the arms of the WI&M Depot over 10 years ago. It's been a long road, sometimes finding us apart, but our hearts have always stayed linked. At over 100 years old, this old building has some stories to tell.
