At Kalianna, we operate several commercially successful businesses that provide supported employment and training opportunities for a limited number of people with a disability in the recycling, laundry and garden maintenance fields. Paid employment assists in improving an individual's skill base, contributes to better health and wellbeing, increas... ed confidence and independence while fulfilling a meaningful and valued role in the community. People employed through Kalianna's Business Services enjoy fulfilling and secure work and experience the same working conditions as people in the general workforce including paid leave entitlements and superannuation, and are paid under the Supported Employees Services Award 2010. Support for our employees with a disability is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services (DSS), and it is our aim to assist people to gain and maintain employment, obtain qualifications, develop commercially relevant skills and acquire a positive work ethic.
