A main part of this is through instructing canine first aid as an authorized instructor of DOGSAFE. (Learning first aid will not replace the need for veterinary care in your dog's life but it will help you better care for you dog daily and in emergencies.) Excellent presentation of the material - Laurie is an amazing teacher combining the book material with personal experience both as a paramedic and as a dog lover. What stood out for me was the dog 'Annie': a rubber dog to practice all the handling skills needed for an emergency - CPR, assisted breathing, pulse check. Class was run in a highly professional manner with love an care for animals exuding at all times. All of it with COVID restrictions in place and well observed.
