y name is Vicki Kerman. My family and I moved to Morrow County from Columbus three years ago. We moved here so our kids could learn how to do "stuff" ... raise chickens and rabbits, have a vegetable garden, do chores, and have enough room to play baseball or practice golf chip shots in the evenings while cooking on the barbeque. We now have 9 chick... ens, 3 rabbits, 2 pygmy goats, 2 barn cats, and 4 dogs. My vegetable garden is bigger than what was our whole lot in Columbus. We love it here, and are grateful to all of those who welcomed us to this beautiful part of Ohio, even though we are such newcomers! Before having kids (who are now 13 and 15), I had worked for nearly 20 years for both major corporations and small businesses in strategic planning, marketing, sales and product management. For ten of those years, I owned a company which did both direct marketing as well as installed bar code automation systems in manufacturing plants. When the kids came along, I quit the business to become a full-time mom. Over the course of the last year, I have worked with several great local organizations, helping them in their fundraising and membership efforts. I look around me, and see that there are many valuable organizations and businesses who have so much to contribute, and who may just need some help spreading the word about their operations. o I decided to go back to work.
