From November 2020, we continue our legacy of supporting women under our new Read More about WISHIN Annual Report 2019-20 Since 2002, Juno (formerly known as WISHIN) has been working with women and non-binary folk in Melbournes north who are experiencing homelessness or family violence. Our primary role is... as a case manager to support and advocate for individual women and their children. Our approach is non-judgemental, personalised and evidence-based to empower the women we work with to make lasting change in their lives. We use and develop progressive and creative responses to homelessness, gendered poverty and trauma. Our staff are skilled in working with a diverse range of women, including those experiencing complex challenges such as trauma, mental illness or experience with the justice system. Juno partners with other community sector organisations to help our clients access specialist support and resources. Run by women, for women, we are a proudly intersectional feminist organisation. Juno also advocates to improve systems and structures which contribute to gendered poverty, homelessness and family violence. Juno is committed to supporting and encouraging Indigenous people in a spirit of respect, co-operation, and goodwill between the culturally diverse families of Australia, and to learning more about our shared heritage. Juno is a social change organisation working towards gender equity for all women and children who have experienced homelessness, family violence and related traumas.
