Juniper Elementary

Juniper is a unique school in that are a technology magnet, home to the districts fourth- and fifth-grade grade Talented And Gifted program and include a Life Skills and a Speech and hearing-impaired program. These programs, in addition to our regular education, create a diverse culture of learners at a rare school location.Built in 1965, Juniper w... as once called Pilot Butte Elementary. They are located on the west side of Pilot Butte and have a creative campus of five separate buildings at different levels and wonderful activity areas. A true neighborhood school, many of the students walk or ride bikes to school.Juniper's vision is for students to exit with grade-level mastery in reading, writing, and math. They do this through providing a viable and consistent curriculum in each content area that is accessible to all students. Science, social studies, art, and other enrichment areas are taught through direct lessons and/or integrated units. As a technology magnet school, they teach Code.org, a computer science curriculum, KG through 5th grade. Students learn programming, coding, and develop critical thinking skills that will prepare them for the future.
