Skilled in designing and delivering training courses for all levels of market professionals in areas such as underwriting strategy, delegated authority due diligence, MGA and coverholder management, conduct risk, claims management, commutation strategies, audits and cross-cultural market awareness. A Chartered Insurance Practitioner (FCII), Julian is also certified as a Prince2 practitioner. Derek is a chartered accountant who has worked extensively within the London and North American insurance and reinsurance marketplaces. His focus has been upon legacy business dispute analyses (such as the LMX and PA spirals), complex technical accounting assignments (in particular reinsurance asset identification and recovery) and binding authority reporting and audit review work. Derek now divides his time equally between the UK and China.
