Joni's Fund

Joni Gladowsky was a wife, a mother, a daughter, a colleague and a friend. Joni was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 37 and fought the disease for almost two decades with high spirits and dignity. In 2002, to honor her struggle and applaud her strength, a small group of Joni's family and friends established a foundation in her name. The J... oni Gladowsky Breast Cancer Foundation is a philanthropic organization known for supporting state-of-the-art patient care and the kind of revolutionary research that brings us closer to a cure. In 2004, the Foundation entered into a unique relationship with NYU Medical Center. Since then we have helped support breast cancer research and patient care in the Breast Cancer Care Center of the NYU Cancer Institute's new cancer outpatient facility, the Clinical Cancer Center on E. 34th Street in New York, New York. In 2006, Joni's Fund decided to give back to a local facility on Long Island. We selected Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories to be a co-beneficiary.
