Jon Nathanson Studio

Jon Nathanson Studio is located at 508 West 26th Street 6E in the Chelsea arts district in New York. The studio is focused on producing integrated work in the visual arts. The work includes paintings, works on paper, architecture and interior design. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Jon got his early training at MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) and as a frequent visitor to Baltimore Museum of Art's Cone collection. As a graduate of The Gilman School, Jon was awarded the Holmes Art award and his work was published in The Baltimore Sun. Jon Nathanson is an Artist, Architect, Interior Designer and Product Designer with over thirty-five years of experience. As a graduate of Yale University School of Art and Architecture, and The University of Maryland School of Architecture, Jon holds two professional degrees in Architecture with parallel studies in painting. His teacher-mentors include Anne Truitt, Frank Gehry and Richard Serra among many others. Jon has also studied at the School for Visual Arts. Jon spent many years working in the world of corporate Architecture and Interior Design. He held the title of Principal, Vice President, and Associate with firms such as ISD, Perkins and Will, Swanke Hayden Connell, and SOM. Jon became a widely published and award winning leader in the field of Interior Architecture. His work is published in journals such as Interior Design, Progressive Architecture, Contract, Interiors, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and Crains. He has received awards from The American Institute of Architects, The Big I award from Interiors magazine, and awards from Designing New York and The Washington Design Alliance.
