John XXIII College

In all, John XXIII College provides accommodation and associated services for 317 residents, both men and women, who are undertaking studies at the ANU. We are a multi-cultural and inclusive community and have residents from as far afield as the UK, US and Asian countries as well as residents from each state and territory of Australia. John's spiri... t and camaraderie underpins and sustains our sense of community... there is something for everyone here at John's. A fully catered college, residents enjoy three fine meals, and two snack times per day, seven days per week as well as academic peer mentor support, a focus on safety and security, convenience of location, pastoral as well as peer leadership opportunities, a relaxed and pleasant lifestyle, the chance to explore one's faith and a community that prides itself on its broad range of social activities. John's fields teams in each of the Colleges and Halls sporting competitions and has an enviable record of success on the sports field, winning the coveted Interhall Sports Shield for the last 13 years in a row. At John's you will make friends for a lifetime, establish networks that will ease your transition into your working life and come to think of College as your home at the ANU. John's facilities are among the best on campus. Our rooms are one of the largest amongst the catered colleges, are all fully renovated, comprising king single beds, in-room wash basins and in-room study facilities. We also have an ANU-provided computer lab, three music rooms, a licensed tavern, library, study rooms, Junior and Senior Common Rooms, free-to-residents laundry facilities, barbecue areas with alfresco dining options as well as pool table, table tennis table, Foosball table, bike sheds and beautiful grounds and gardens.
