About Joanne
Joanne & Company was founded in October of 1994 by Joanne Rackow. She graduated from USC and went through the executive training program at Bullock's Department Store and then went on to become Assistant Buyer of the housewares dept. In 1979 she went to work for the N.S. Gustin Company, a national rep organization. In 1994 the decision was made to close the company, and at that time Joanne & Company was born. The first showroom was on the 4th floor and specialized in hand-made American product with an emphasis on folk art, table top and art glass. Within a few years it was necessary to expand to the 8th floor. Next stop was a 4,000 square foot showroom on the 7th floor. The current home of Joanne & Company is a 5,000 square foot showroom on the 3rd floor which is owned and managed by Joanne and her daughter Jamie who joined the company in 2001.
