JMI was established over 20 years ago as an engineering workshop, and has been repositioned over the last 12 years as a niche service provider to the airline industry. JMI has 3 divisions, Aerospace Maintenance, General Engineering (including GSE) and JMI Technology. The Aerospace Maintenance division makes up 85% of the company's sales which focus... on non-flight critical repair, maintenance and upgrade work. The main product lines are: Cargo Unit Load Device (ULD) - assembly, maintenance and leasing; galley equipment - inspection, maintenance and leasing; and aircraft seating - overhaul & in-flight entertainment (IFE) upgrades. The General Engineering section services both airport ground support equipment (GSE) as well as general metal fabrication work. JMI Technology is the most recent division which has grown from our competency in developing our own web based maintenance system. For eight years JMI has employed its own full-time programmers to continually build and enhance our web based proprietary software called ACTIS (Aircraft Component Tracking & Information System). In addition to ACTIS Maintenance JMI has developed web applications specifically designed to address systemic problems associated with the commercial airlines poor ability to track ULD's and galley carts around the world. JMI is unique in the respect that it is a Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) using knowledge gained from participating in the industry to write software tailored to meet the airlines needs. JMI's operational knowledge of the ULD, Galley Cart and Aircraft Seats gives it unique insights into the problems faced by the airlines but also the solutions necessary to remedy those problems.
