J.L. Wallace Construction, Inc. has made a commitment to give back to the community that has been instrumental to the firm's continued growth and success. Following the lead of President Jerry Wallace, employees have unselfishly given of their time, talent, and money in an effort to make an impact on the lives of the less fortunate members of the c... ommunity. Organizations that have benefited from contributions made by the company and/or employees include, but are not limited to: Builders Care - as a charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association, Builders Care provides assistance to elderly and disabled Lee County homeowners who are in financial need and living with housing conditions that pose a health or safety threat. All repair and renovation services are provided at no cost to the homeowner. J.L. Wallace Construction, Inc. contributes both time and money to help ensure the success of the program. Toys For Tots - the Marine Corps Toys For Tots Foundation has been collecting and distributing toys to needy children since 1947. J.L. Wallace Construction, Inc. supports the program through holiday donations and by serving as a collection site for contributions of toys. Salvation Army "Angel Tree" - the "Angel Tree" program focuses on individual children throughout Lee County who might otherwise receive nothing for Christmas. J.L. Wallace Construction, Inc. sponsors up to 50 children on a corporate "Angel Tree". Each child's name and clothing size is placed on a Christmas angel and hung on the "Angel Tree". Staff members and guests to the office select "angels" and purchase gifts of clothing for them. All "angels" who are not selected have gifts purchased for them by J.L. Wallace, Inc. Lifeline Family Center - since 1996 Lifeline Family Center, a non-traditional, Christian-based maternity home for pregnant teenagers, has been helping to change the lives of young women and their babies.
