Mr. Marek has previously advised over 60 companies as a turnaround management consultant (Kibel Green) and investment banker (FocalPoint Partners, Cappello Capital Corp. and Marek Thompson Advisors). He was an adjunct professor in finance and entrepreneurship (USC Marshall School of Business) from 2001 to 2003, and his corporate advisory career began in 1994, following eleven years of business experience as an internal audit manager (McDonnell Douglas Travel Company) and entrepreneur (principal or advisor to numerous companies). He served as a board or committee member for several organizations, including Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and USC Marshall Alumni Association (president emeritus), and has been an active member of Turnaround Management Association (TMA), Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA), and Business Forum International.
