JJS Meat Shak started in 2011 as a weekend food truck in the small town of Buena Vista selling pork barbeque, specialty burgers & fresh cut fries. The food truck was such a success that the owner decided to start building more and more seating and eventually closing it in to accommodate guests through the winter season. JJs is owned by Lew & Kendra... Hamilton and named after their children Jacob & Jessica. The family also operates the restaurant with the help of their extended family and friends. JJs Meat Shak is open 7 days a week with daily and weekend specials that include favorites other than barbecue, such as seafood platters, specialty burgers, wood-fired pizzas, and down- home country classics. When youre finished with your slow cooked fall of the bone ribs, mouthwatering fried oysters or the famous Hog Pen, you can indulge in a cup of Hersheys hand dipped ice cream, with many flavors to choose from.
