Established in 1985, Nanchang Hydrology Bureau is a government-managed public institution directly under the Jiangxi Provincial Water Resources Department. It is in charge of the city's hydrology work. Since March 2011, the dual management system of the Jiangxi Water Resources Department and the Nanchang Municipal People's Government has been implemented.
