JH Excavating has been a family owned business since 1976. We are a Pennsylvania corporation that was started by the current owners' father and two partners. Both partners have been bought out at retirement. The company continues to provide the highest quality work at the best prices possible by finding and retaining the best equipment operators an... d supervisors in the area. Our employees tend to stay with us so we are able to develop long term relationships with them and with our customers. We purposely make it a place people want to work so that we can expect the results we want to provide to our customers. We have several operators that were sent to us by the union and have stayed for years. We also stay current with our fleet to meet the demands of our industry and our clients. Our growing equipment list currently includes two GPS controlled dozers, giving us maximum efficiency and accuracy. We have an excellent safety record and strive to exceed industry standards. As far as our greater capabilities, we are focused for now on commercial, industrial, and residential site development, but still are comfortable with anything from a mini excavator or skid loader doing backyard projects to the recent 38 acre site for Baker Hughes in Mill Hall, PA. We want to stay true to our roots as a small, family owned excavating contractor, but have a growing appetite for larger projects to keep our fleet and employees busy.
