His goal was to provide quality merchandise to the local community at the lowest possible prices. The store was a "Walmart" of its day, selling clothing, shoes, groceries, hardware, feed, paint, furniture, and even caskets! The second generation owner, Ollie Lewis, eventually took over the business and continued the vision of his father. In the lat... e 40's, the third generation began with J. F. Lewis, grandson of the original owner. As his career began, he saw a need for change and began to concentrate on the furniture business. He worked for over 50 years to bring change and success to the family business. In 2005, the business was incorporated, and the fourth generation continued with the tradition and goals of its founders, and now a son from the 5th generation is part of the furniture store. Today, the 4th generation owner is Jeffrey Fielding Lewis, son of J.F. and Francine Lewis. His son, Jacob Fielding Lewis, 5th generation, works here as Assistant Manager. Over the past 130 years, the business has evolved into the strong furniture competitor that it is today. In 2018, J.F.
