For a while after college, I found myself lost. I wanted to do too many things in life and wasn't sure how or where to start... This caused me to get severe anxiety and be uncer... tain about EVERYTHING! Was I pursuing the right career? Was I in the right relationship? Was I a good cat mother? Was I eating too many cupcakes? (No, no, yes, and definitely yes) I was uncertain of who I was and what I wanted out of life. And not to mention completely indecisive because I was paralyzed by fear. I moved (slower than a turtle wading through a sea of peanut butter, I may add) in a direction that I felt was respectable" and would result in my "success," yet lacked any and all passion on my part. A few years later, having achieved nothing of real measure and even deeper into my anxiety and depression about how to do life," I was given the opportunity to have a free consultation with a Life Coach. Having known a decent amount about personal development and still being where I was, I figured it would be a useless conversation. What could they possibly tell me that I didnt already know?...For someone who was so "uncertain" of themselves, I sure thought I knew everything! But holy cannoli! That call literally changed my life! Yes. It did. I know it sounds like another cliché, but it's true. Together, the life coach and I explored what I really wanted in life and helped me discover how I was holding myself back and what I could do to overcome it. And let me tell you, it was NOT becoming a lawyer just to establish intellectual dominance over those who hadnt. YeahI used to be an ass hole. But it was on that call that I realized what I did want in life...freedom, to be authentically myself in the world and the ability to make a difference in other people's lives.
