In 2003 JEM was approached by class 1 railroads to solve supplier and quality issues brought about by obsolete and discontinued communication hardware vital to the daily operation and health of the industry. The potential opportunities presented by manufacturing railroad communications products were so vast that JEM elected to devote all company resources to this exciting new venture. Since then JEM has developed an extensive network of railroad suppliers and manufacturing partners with capabilities to support all facets of the product life cycle and technology needs.
