Moving to New Mexico, Christmas 2007, from Northern California, was a big leap for me. I miss the water I lived close to in CA but I certainly enjoy the beauty of this state and have found that real estate is a good fit for me. I enjoy working and helping people achieve their goals. The art, food, and the wonderful people of New Mexico are fantastic and memorable! My past experience has been in commercial real estate. For over 14 years I was a project accountant handling $5 - $30 million dollar projects; such as schools, prisons, and government related buildings in California. Prior to commercial real estate, I was Business Manager of ChemWest Analytical Laboratory in Sacramento, CA. The company did environmental water and soil analysis. I also worked as an accountant for the California Council, The American Institute of Architects, Sacramento, CA; a non-profit organization. Education came from both schools and job experiences. I owned a full service office complex called Sierra Complex in Sacramento, CA; I was the property manager and public relations person handling all fiscal responsibilities. Renting out office space to small businesses and providing secretarial, accounting and support to these diverse and exciting companies, gave me an opportunity to acquire knowledge and wisdom on a wide range of business areas, but most importantly, I was able to share what I had learned and experienced with other small business owners at the Complex and use this knowledge in the future. My first entrepreneurial experience was becoming a part owner of a small software development company in California; Soft Solutions, Inc. I was Vice President and Controller of this company and also provided computer sales and consulting. We had government contracts with the aerospace industry.
