Jay's Moving Company has been providing dependable, affordable and friendly service to our community for over 60 years. Beginning in 1951, Jay Harper and wife, Virginia were the only employees, working hard from their kitchen table to take care of their very first customers. It didn't take long before word of the new moving company with fair pricin... g and honest service took hold in the community and began to grow. Jay and Virginia moved operations from their kitchen to their first location in Fountain Square. There, the business flourished, growing to serve thousands of customers over the years. Jay Harper retired at the age of 80, a testament to his strong belief in hard work and lifelong service. Jay passed away in 2008, leaving a legacy of hard work, commitment to family and community, and the continued service of the fair and honest business he built from his kitchen table. Today, Jay's has grown to two locations, serving the entire state of Indiana.
