Jason Parkes Customs

Jason was born in Kitimat British Columbia, the oldest of 3 children. Ever since he was a child he played music with his dad in local gigs under the pseudonym of Ray JR it was his first passion. Jason also loved hockey and was quite a good goaltender. As he grew up Jasons passions grew with him, his love for music had him sneaking out of the house... in the middle of the night to go play the drums at the local nightclubs and strip clubs. Even though he was underage the staff would still let him play. His love for hockey also consumed a lot of Jasons time, and his abilities soon earned him an invitation to the NHL prospects camp, along with future NHLr Byron Defoe. It was on his trip to the camp that Jason made the first big decision in his life. As they pulled up to the camp in his parent's van Jason told his Dad to continue driving. Hockey wasnt his main passion, it was music, and if he had to give up one of them, it would be hockey. Soon enough, Jason formed a band and began touring around the world. Glasshead was a punk rock band with pop sensibilities, and they were getting popular, especially in Japan. However, success in the punk rock genre is relative, when it became time to go out on tour to promote their second album, their Van broke down, and they had no money to fix it. Jason was living in Peachland at the time, and Hainle Vineyards was just up the road from where he lived. He stepped into the cellar and introduced himself to the winemaker and asked him for a job. Jason worked at the cellar during harvest through winter and would tour with his band when things were slow. He learned a few things from the winemaker but was left on his own to figure things out. When the owner of Hainle vineyards came up to him and let him know he was being promoted to the winemaking position, Jason was stunned.
