Jackson Prentice Real Estate Services LLC (JPRES) is a commercial investment and real estate firm specializing in the sale and lease of properties in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. The company was founded by Jackson Prentice and his wife, Mary Ruth, in 1973. He was born in Washington, DC in 1949; During Jackson's early years he lived in China... town, 5th and H Street, NW. Jackson has either lived or worked in the city all of his life, while his wife moved to DC from North Carolina in 1969. Mr. Prentice expanded his real estate services in 1988 to form Jackson Prentice Management Inc., specializing in comprehensive management of commercial and investment properties in the Metropolitan area. We currently manage Eight(8) incoming producing properties, including three shopping centers in Washington and Virginia. The management team oversees day to day management tasks, including landlord tenant relations, soliciting service contract bids, overseeing contractors with our management team and preparing monthly Income and Expense Reports for each of our investors/owners. We also have a full-time, 24 hour on call maintained department. We use the latest management software, YARDI, producing the most comprehensive management reports for our investors. The company concentrates its brokerage in the historical areas of east end Washington, including Penn Quarter, Chinatown, north of Massachusetts Avenue (NOMA), Union Station, and Capital Hill and Northern Virginia. JPRES has participated in multiple hard to acquire land acquisitions for assemblages of development deals and has represented exclusively many national developers such as: Douglas Development, Akridge Company, Western Development, Trammell Crow, Bundy Development, Development Resources Inc.
