Offering three unique areas for cocktails and dining, Ivy Lane is named for the ivy ascending the exterior of the building and traverses the world of cuisine. Chef Sung hails from Seoul, but his passion for food comes from his years working in the fashion industry and falling in love with the culinary scene by savoring the fare from some of the fin... est fashion-centric cities in the world. Upon moving to the U.S. and honing his culinary skills, the mélange of his life is now represented in the food he serves. The menu at Ivy Lane allows diners to weave through various choices to design their meal from raw bar to shareable plates, entrees and a selection of seasonal side dishes. Each menu item has a bold flavor profile as Chef Sung believes that layering ingredients makes the meal upbeat and desirable to eat. He does not play it safe, and familiar sounding dishes take on a new personality in his hands. Just as multi- dimensional as the food are the inventive cocktails by Wilmer Nolasco and the decor featuring colorful artwork by Brooklyn artist N. Carlo J. The creative duo of Urman Design, N. Carlos J. and his wife and partner Coralie Jefferson took an industrial interior look and feel and meshed it with vibrant contemporary art and design concepts. From the moment one walks into Ivy Lane, the goal is to help guests engage all five senses during their experience. A colorful, enchanting mural greet guests upon entering the 45-seat cocktail lounge. The second-floor dining room features a fireplace and skylights. Pulling inspiration from the existing wood and brick, the third-floor lounge has a crisp, modern feel with layers of crimson, black and white.
