The original Ivanhoe Cycles store first opened in 1984 and since then the Ivanhoe Cycles name was established as one of Melbourne best cycling stores. Much of that reputation came from a couple of factors. Firstly, we are famous for holding a great deal of stock,... so it is very likely that the bike you want will be available - and in your size. Secondly, we have prided ourselves on keeping on staff who are expert in various fields of cycling - everything from road biking to BMX, to mountain biking. This way we can offer you expert advice, and truly find a bike that is an excellent match to you. Due to our established position in the market place in Melbourne we are able to offer deals through the trusted suppliers of the best-known brands of bikes, catering to a wide range of customers, including professional racers, serious weekend riders, occasional riders and bike commuters as well as kids bikes. Most of our staff are bike riders themselves and have been for years, so their advice and professionalism will count when you come into one of our stores to decide what your next ride will be. Since opening that original store in Ivanhoe we opened a much larger store in Heidelberg Heights. This store meant that we could have even more stock on display, as well as a greatly improved workshop facility to help keep you on the road (or track). And with further expansion we decided that the original premises in Ivanhoe were too small, and moved that operation to a massive showroom and workshop in Hallam, ideally situated on the corner of the Princess Highway and Hallam South Road. While this store has only been open a short time, it has already proven to be a very successful move.
