Richard graduated from Queens University law school in 1975 and returned to Cobourg to practise law with his father, James Irvine, forming Irvine & Irvine, Barristers & Solicitors. He practices primarily in the areas of residential, condominium and commercial real estate, estate planning, will preparation and general corporate work. Richard has bee... n involved with a number of community fundraising initiatives including the Jack Heenan Memorial Arena, Cobourg Library and Cobourg YMCA. His is a former President of the Northumberland Art Gallery and has served on the Board of Governors for Trinity College School in Port Hope and is at present a Trustee. Richard is a long-standing member of Cobourg Rotary Club and former Chair of the Planned Giving Committee with the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation. He is a current member of Dalewood Golf Club and a former member of its Board of Directors. ALISON LESTER | Real Estate, Wills, Estates, Corporate Law, Trade-Mark Prosecution Alison graduated with high honours from the University of Toronto in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature. She graduated in 2005 from McGill University law school with an LL.B and a Bachelor of Civil Law. Alison was called to the Ontario Bar in 2006 and worked at Gilberts LLP, an intellectual property litigation firm in Toronto for six years. In 2011, Alison returned to her home town of Cobourg. In 2012 she acquired the practice of Brad Halls, who had worked in the area for over thirty years. In 2014, she joined with Irvine & Irvine, forming Irvine & Lester, and practising in association with Richard Irvine. Alison now practises primarily as a solicitor, with a focus on real estate, estate planning and will preparation, general corporate work, and trade-mark prosecution.
