Iron Gate Farm of Bangor, PA is an equine facility located in the heart of beautiful Northampton County and serves the entire Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. Our owner/ head trainer Ms. Jody, has a lifetime of experience in horsemanship, training and competitive equestrian sports. We follow our motto of "Providing Strong Foundations" with ever... y lesson, every student. We have 26 years of riding lessons and competition, so all guests are in good hands. We primarily teach English riding disciplines such as, Hunters, Jumpers, Dressage, Combined Training and Equitation, focusing on the biomechanics of riding. Both beginners and advanced riders learn to develop and hone their rhythm and balance, skills that even the advanced rider should continue to practice because they assist in making the rider become one with the horse. This not only improves the quality of the ride, but the safety, as the rider learns to merge movements with the horse rather than fight them. Our equestrian center is open to riders from 2 to 99, with camp programs beginning at age 6. We provide all necessary safety equipment, including helmets, gloves, and boots, if needed. We always insist on safety first, with skill and fun tied for second. If you or your child are interested in dressage, jumping, hunt seat or riding just for pleasure we will give you the skills needed to excel in your chosen riding discipline.
