IREM Gala

IREM's mission is to serve the needs of all real estate management professionals. Through IREM, professional designations may be obtained through course study and testing, offering the most recognized trademarks of excellence in the property management industry. Three chapters of The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)-Greater Metropolitan W... ashington D.C. Chapter 8, Northern Virginia Chapter 77, and West-Central Maryland Chapter 92-held their first IREM Gala in May of 2006. The event was created as a dinner dance for charity. In 2020, we are excited that Maryland Chapter 16 will be joining the other three chapters as one of the hosts of this event. Since its inception in 2006, IREM has selected Special Love for Children With Cancer as the charity that would receive 100 percent of the proceeds from this event. Special Love is a local non-profit organization that provides families dealing with cancer a network of support, made up of other patients and families who know and understand the trials and triumphs of battling cancer. To date, IREM has donated over $748,735 to this amazing organization. Even more than just an education and membership organization, IREM is a networking tool for all professionals in real estate management at all levels of the industry, including multi-family managers, property supervisors, asset managers, and management company owners.
