Internet Service Providers' Consortium

The Internet Service Providers' Consortium (ISP/C) is a group of local, regional, national and international Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Internet Presence Providers (IPPs) along with network backbone providers and associate companies who sell hardware, software, and services to ISPs. This group of individuals, companies and organizations... has as its core mission the maintenance of an open global market for Internet Service Providers. The ISP/C functions to implement cooperative services to assist and benefit ISPs. We have exceeded our expectations in our ability to work as a group to provide assistance and benefits to our members during our first year, and we continue to work on enhancing member benefits in these areas (see our web page for specifics on each item): Lobbying Efforts On-line information system Software and Equipment Discounts On-line and in-person roundtable conferences The Consortium is dedicated to providing as many ISP/IPP/NAP-related services as possible. It is governed by a Board of Directors and its members who vote on issues related to the organization and policy directions for the ISP/C. The ISP/C is a membership organization with a dues structure to support the daily business operations of the ISP/C. The ISP/C is formally incorporated as a non-profit trade association, and although we have made considerable progress in our first two years, there are still many areas which allow members like yourself to have an impact.
