At InterConnect, we care about you as a whole person, and we believe that intersex people should Be.SEEN We believe getting support and connecting with other intersex people is the single most important step on anyones journey to emotional healing and empowerment. We provide a wide range of opportunities for sharing experiences and information, thr... ough private Facebook groups, monthly hangouts, and peer support groups. The highlight of the year for our members is the Annual Conference, which offers opportunities to connect with other intersex people in real life. Held in a different US city each year, the conference is jam-packed with information, sharing sessions and a great opportunity to forge long-lasting friendships. Its kind of like summer camp. Through blog posts, our newsletter and the Annual Conference, we do our best to educate members on their intersex variation and how to live their best lives. Our Annual Conference is full of information sessions on topics like Intersex 101, hormone therapy, mental health and relationships. We also provide brochures that you can share with friends, family and doctors, to educate the community on intersex issues. Our members are diverse, and we all have different backgrounds and strengths. If youd like to get involved in our organization, we would love to have you! Our volunteer committees include Outreach, Marketing, Fundraising and Conference Planning. We will also be starting Regional Groups, so that our members can meet up in real life more often.
