Whilst Intellexa were developing the design, Crestron's Adanto became available in the UK and was quickly incorporated into the specification. Adanto was the ideal product for this project as it is easy to install, simple to programme and cost effective, it fitted the brief perfectly. Before programming even started we were able to do an immediate... full sound test from the Adanta once we removed the product from the box which was a real bonus. In addition, the client particularly loved the wall-mounted APAD touchpanels featuring the kind of intelligent design we have now come to expect as standard from Crestron. The Adanto out-of-the-box solution allows people access to Crestron who otherwise might have felt it beyond their budget. Adanto offers two-way communication, out-of-the-box-functionality, plug-and-play connectivity, and seamless Crestron expandability. Adanto is the only audio distribution system that expands to include touchpanels, lighting and HVAC control, wireless solutions, and blind/curtain control. The project features two different DVD players, two tuners, full Sky & terrestrial TV, access control and outside lighting and music. A wireless Crestron TPMC10 is used throughout the ground floor to operate all systems at the touch of a button, and security cameras are viewable on any TV and Crestron panel. Intellexa also worked with kitchen fitters to design cabinets to conceal the equipment racks out of sight. As with many of today's custom install projects, MP3 player integration was essential. Within the scheme allowance has been made for the children to play and control their iPods from anywhere in the house. Also laptop and Playstation inputs for the projector and PC were provided to be displayed on the Pioneer screen with wireless keyboard & mouse.
