Integrated Packaging Systems, Inc. ("IPS") is a consulting firm specializing in food packaging application engineering, line design/layout, equipment specification/selection, implementation support, and overall project management. Our focus is to develop and execute short, medium, and long term packaging plans with our clients, for phased implement... ation, production flexibility, and increased volume potential. We are hired primarily by food companies to develop and coordinate packaging through palletizing project activities, while working closely with and under the direction of an in-house project manager. Our responsibilities are typically broken down into project phases which include Conceptual Design, Final Design & Equipment Specification, Implementation (Services During Construction Through Installation), and Start-Up Through Commissioning. Depending on client preferences, IPS has participated in numerous feasibility studies, special machinery adaptations/developments with "qualified" vendors, capital appropriation submittals, procurement assistance activities and critical equipment shop checkouts (i.e. - including thorough machine testing with all product types before shipment). This includes developing bid packages, coordinating selected mechanical, electrical, and control contractor activities on site, driving full-line start-up/debug efforts, organizing vendor training sessions, and providing extensive production ramp-up support. A key point of clarification is that IPS does not represent, sell, or manufacture packaging machinery. We typically work for food companies on a time and material/expense basis, according to a specific work scope, deliverable, timeframe and cost or fee estimate.
