About Insight Counseling
Dr. Micsko is a Licensed Psychologist in both Kansas and Missouri and has been awarded the distinction of Certified Eating Disorders Specialist by the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP). She dedicates her career in Kansas City to the widespread issues of compulsive overeating and body shame. Since 1987, through both individual and group psychotherapy, Dr. Micsko has helped individuals develop a healthy relationship with food, movement, and their body working from the principles of shame resilience theory, intuitive eating and self-compassion. The National Speaking of Womens Health Foundation honored her in 2003 with an award of distinction for her contributions to eating disorder treatment in Kansas City. She co-founded InSight Counseling, LLC which is comprised of highly trained specialists who are passionate in treating those who are struggling with eating disorders.
