Welcome to Innovation through Knowledge Transfer! InnovationKT (Innovation through Knowledge Transfer) is an initiative to promote and raise the profile of knowledge transfer and innovation, and provide publication opportunities for all those involved in the discipline. In his seminal definition Schumpeter referred to innovation as 'ideas applied s... uccessfully in practice' and mentioned new products, methods of production, markets, sources of supply and organisational methods. We define knowledge transfer as the means by which expertise, knowledge, skills and capabilities are transferred from the knowledge-base (for example, a university or college, a research centre or a research technology organisation) to those in need of that knowledge (for example a company, social enterprise or not-for-profit organisation) in order to spur innovation. The Institute of Knowledge Transfer is the professional body for those working in innovation, knowledge transfer, enterprise and entrepreneurship.
